Management Accountant

Flourishing, entrepreneurial business based in Chichester is currently seeking an ambitious Management Accountant to join their expanding finance function. Several impressive years of growth mean this individual will be joining at a very exciting time and will quickly become an integral part of their dynamic team. This is an industry that's very much booming with great future prospects!

My client is happy to support study for those studying towards a professional qualification. Their growth plans mean this role will likely develop in the future and progression opportunities can be offered. You would also be deputising for the Financial Controller in their absence and have a close relationship with the CFO.

Overview of duties:

• Heavily assisting with the preparation group monthly management accounts, both individual and consolidated
• Revenue recognition
• Finance & Bookkeeping – reconciling accounts, preparing financial statements, customer payment tracking
• Establishing and reporting on finance KPIs
• Consistently reviewing finance systems and processes and looking out for efficiency improvements
• Liaising with external accountants with the year-end accounts preparation
• Coordinating monthly payroll
• Completing VAT returns
• Making payments to subsidiaries, suppliers and employees, and overseeing expenses processing
• Dealing with financial paperwork and filing
• Assisting with ad-hoc analysis / one-off projects

Candidate requirements:

• A dedicated and ambitious individual with relevant existing experience at the management accounts level
• Studying towards an accountancy qualification
• Xero experience an advantage
