Purchasing Assistant

Due to continued success within their business, a growing entrepreneurial client is currently recruiting a Purchasing Assistant to join their friendly team. You will support their Operations Manager in managing relationships with existing suppliers, forecasting and monitoring stick levels, purchasing all stock at the best quality, and managing stock levels.

About you - You will have already gained some purchasing experience and used a procurement system in a previous role. You will be a strong team worker with the ability to understand commercial activities; confident with excel spreadsheets, enjoy working with numbers and have excellent attention to detail.

In this role, you will be:

• Purchasing all stock products from different suppliers
• Forecasting levels of demand for products and whilst ensuring balanced stock range in the warehouse
• Monitoring stock arrivals spreadsheet
• Booking deliveries
• Posting invoices for payment
• Communicating with supplier for new order, stock issues and deliveries
• Booking freight collections for supplier orders
• Liaising with all departments regarding stock and stock issues
• Ad hoc tasks as reasonably requested by Senior Management
