Child Care Officer positions span three grades. Teasel Close is a very well established young people’s home for 5 young people. It has been rated as “Outstanding” by Ofsted for the last 7 years.

The overall aim of Teasel Close is to provide high quality care in a warm and caring environment where the young people are supported in coming to terms with their past and current issues and begin to prepare for their future. We seek to promote the well-being of the young people in our care by providing an atmosphere where interpersonal relationships are based on mutual respect and understanding.

Our location in a suburb of Crawley means we maintain a presence in the local community as well as having easy access to public transport and local shop and leisure facilities.

We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated Child Care Officers to join our established and experienced staff team. A comprehensive training package will be available on starting. You will be involved in supporting them throughout their daily routines, education , organising leisure activities ,maintaining appropriate behaviour, support family contact, in time taking on a key working role for certain Young People and sometimes managing challenging behaviour. Experience of working with children with challenging behaviour would be an advantage although not essential. What is essential is a caring attitude and an open mind to learn and become involved in all aspects of their lives.
