Home-Start is a voluntary organisation committed to promoting the welfare of families with at least one child under five years of age. Volunteers offer regular support, friendship and practical help to families under stress in their own homes helping to prevent family crisis and breakdown. We are looking to recruit a Part-time Co-ordinator, working from our Crawley based office, to be responsible for recruiting, training, supervising and supporting a team of volunteers helping families under pressure. The Co-ordinator plays a vital role in visiting families to assess their needs and in integrating support with other agencies. Personal parenting experience is required, along with a sound knowledge of working with vulnerable families and proven experience of providing supervision. Applicants must have use of their own car, for which mileage expenses are paid. Salary scale: 20,253 -23,698 (NJC 22-27) pro rata, plus contributory pension Home-Start is committed to safer recruitment practice as an important part of safeguarding and protecting children and vulnerable adults.
