Our nurseries provide care for children from different cultures and backgrounds as well as with varying needs. We are proud of our staff who are highly qualified and have a wealth of experience to be able to support the children and families who access our nurseries. They work closely with health visitors in our Children's Centres teams to support some of the most vulnerable families in the city, as well as providing childcare for working families. Our nurseries include: Acorn Nursery in North Portslade Children's Centre, Bright Start Nursery in central Brighton, Cherry Tree Nursery in Hollingdean Children's Centre, Jump Start Nursery in Moulsecoomb Children's Centre, and Roundabout Nursery co-located with our Children's Centre in Whitehawk. We are looking for an apprentice to work in Cherry Tree nursery and be part of our team. You will receive support from Greater Brighton Metropolitan College to gain a level 3 Early Educator qualification and have dedicated mentoring time from the council’s Early Years team. Applicants must have a genuine interest in working with young children. On completion of a satisfactory probation period you will become a key person for a group of children, settling new children into the nursery, and building relationships with families and other professionals working with them. You will plan activities, carry out observations and keep assessment records relating to the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum. Hours per week: 37 hours per week .
