About the Role

We are recruiting to an exciting new service in Crowborough for adults with learning disabilities. The service will include accommodation based and day services moving to an extensively refurbished new building in the summer of 2017 called Hookstead,

We are seeking two highly motivated, enthusiastic and committed people to join us.

As Team Leader you will lead a team of support workers to provide responsive support to people with a learning disability. Helping people to pursue their chosen lifestyle and connect with their community. You will be responsible for supporting, supervising and providing clear management of a skilled staff team and managing the day to day running of the service.

Within this role you will be responsible for promoting a culture that is based on respect and dignity. You will bring with you a commitment to providing excellent support, continuously learning and reflecting, along with an ethos of working together. You will support the service manager to develop the service and to maintain high standards.

In addition to the right core values you will need to have good leadership, communication and organisational skills. The role is challenging but rewarding. You will receive excellent training opportunities and support through induction and supervision as part of our commitment to you. This role will involve frequent travelling around East Sussex and at short notice on occasion. Being a car driver and having access to a vehicle for work would be of benefit. Applicants will need to demonstrate how they can meet the travel requirements.

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.

Work Permits: we may be able to obtain a Work Permit for this post but this is subject to meeting the requirements of the UK Border Agency’s Points-based Immigration System.
