We are seeking a part time Team Manager to join the four existing Team Managers in post. You will share the management of a team with the existing part time manager, each working 3 days a week to ensure effective communication and joint leadership. The four teams together provide a Referral and Assessment Service, completing Initial and Core Assessments, S47 Investigations, short term CiN work, and some limited Court work. You will manage and support a team of Social Workers and work closely with the other Team Managers to ensure assessments and interventions are timely and child focused and that future planning for children does not drift. You will work with the R&A management team to deliver the objectives of our Service Plan and contribute to the ongoing development of the Service. You will be a highly experienced Social Worker, with a background that includes R&A work, and ideally you will also have management experience. You will have extensive knowledge and proven skills in child protection work. You will have excellent management and leadership skills, confidence and an ability to work under pressure. Your own supervision and support will be a priority. We are moving into an exciting time of development around the delivery of a Signs of Safety Approach and how the flexibilities discussed by Munro could be taken forward. Applicants must hold a Social Work qualification.
