An extremely exciting opportunity for an entry level, Trainee Accountant, to join the internal finance team of a leading professional services firm in Leatherhead. Our client, who are a reputable and well known organisation within their sector, are looking for a driven student who is commited to embarking on their profesional accountancy studies.

Overview of duties:

• Purchase Ledger
• Log incoming invoices onto Access accounting system
• Stamp invoices and code to correct account
• Send invoices out for authorisation and track their return
• Release on Access approved invoices for payment
• Ensure invoices are electronically scanned and allocated
• Process BACS payments
• File invoices
• Reconciliation of statements from suppliers and following up differences
• Reconciliation of purchase ledger to purchase ledger control account
• Petty Cash
• Make payments
• Reconcile on a regular basis
• Clients Monies
• Processing Client Monies
• Support the Accounts Assistant in processing client monies payments

This role has significant scope to broaden once competence with the entry level responsibilities is demonstrated.

About you

• Educated to A level or equivalent
• Numerically literate with a minimum B grade in GCSE Mathematics
• Able to work to deadlines and to prioritise work in a busy team
• IT literate and able to demonstrate an understanding of Excel/Word
• Accurate and reliable with a keen eye for detail, your role will require accurate processing of information at all times
