M&A Advisor - Evolution Capital

Are you an experienced Account Manager, Finance Manager or (part) qualified accountant with Business to Business experience?  Are you looking for an opportunity to bring your exceptional interpersonal skills to a high-level advisory team environment?  If so, we'd be very interested to discuss the possibility of you joining our high calibre corporate finance team, as a M&A Advisor.

The role provides an exceptional candidate the opportunity to work with a high performing team in a rapidly expanding firm, known for its deep industry expertise, with excellent career progression opportunities.

Evolution Capital, a leading mid-market TMT Boutique Corporate Finance firm, delivering shareholder value to our clients via innovative deal solutions, providing strategic and transaction advice and support, from deal origination through to deal completion. We exclusively advise clients in the Technology and Telecoms sector on all aspects of M&A, divestitures, mergers, buy-outs, debt structuring and with company valuations.  The team is particularly focused on advising business owners looking to exit, as well as strategic acquirers and financial investors.

Working closely with our senior advisory team, the M&A Advisor will take direct responsibility for business sale client projects.  You will possess great analytical skills, be highly committed to quality and excellence, be able to demonstrate initiative, whilst having a down to earth "sleeves rolled up, can-do" attitude.  Strong interpersonal and written communication skills are absolutely necessary, as the role will have both client facing and executive level exposure.  Everyday duties will include qualifying new opportunities, presenting to prospective clients, discussing shareholders' strategic objectives and reviewing recent company performance with business owners, and advising our mandated clients throughout their business exit journey.

You will need the ability to negotiate offers and create deal structures.  You should possess strong analytical skills and preferably have experience in financial modelling & valuation techniques and in the preparation of information memorandums, as you will be assisting in the creation of transaction documents involved in an M&A process.

Our team moto is 'no one of us is as good as all of us' and we demonstrate that by working in a highly collaborative, customer centric and quality improvement focused environment.

The skills and experience we seek:

  • Have an excellent academic background.  Full or part ACA / ACCA qualification or equivalent is desirable.
  • A motivated, confident and creative operator with excellent business communication and interpersonal skills, comfortable in communicating on the phone and in person.
  • Well-rounded commercial awareness with a strong sense of integrity and business ethics.
  • Excellent analytical, comprehension and problem-solving skills, as well as strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • A highly-motivated team player with strong personal integrity, comfortable in contributing in a unique and highly interdependent environment and driven to exceed client expectations.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks, work on multiple assignments and manage rapidly changing assignments in a team environment.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office, with focus on Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Eligible to work in the UK.
