Part Time Finance Assistant

An industry leading client, who has been at the forefront of their specialised sector for many years and leads through innovation, currently has a newly created opportunity for an enthusiastic and diligent Finance Assistant to join their medium sized finance team.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, this will be a part time role requiring 16-20 hours per week. These hours can be worked across Mon-Thurs but it is necessary that candidates be able to work some hours on Wed each week. Even though this will initially be remote working due to covid, this client want an individual who lives within commutable distance of Haywards Heath.

Overview of duties:

• Supplier payments
• Sending out remittances
• Weekly analysis
• Receipt and processing weekly colleague expenses claims in a timely manner
• Correspondence with claimants on any queries and escalation as necessary
• Preparation of weekly batches for review.
• Company card verification, processing and reconciliation
• Ensuring all areas of responsibility are fully documented for training and audit requirements
• Filing in accordance with agreed procedures
• Support on the development and documentation of internal controls, processes, policies and procedures for the department
• Annual archiving

We are looking for someone from an accounts background, ideally with employee expenses and purchase ledger experience. If you've also used Sage that's an added bonus but not a pre-requisite.
