Institute of Sport:

We are looking for a Lecturer in Sport and Exercise Psychology (Skill Acquisition) in the Institute of Sport. You will be a research/consultancy active sport and exercise psychologist with expertise in skill acquisition, moto control, or cognitive psychology. Some knowledge of research methods is also required. You will be joining an enthusiastic sport and exercise psychology team at the University of Chichester. The post holder will develop the academic provision in sport and exercise psychology and research methods, and promote the Institute’s internal and external reputation with particular reference to teaching, learning, research or consultancy. The post holder will contribute to Skill Acquisition/Motor Control, Sport and Exercise Psychology, and Research Methods modules on programmes delivered by the Institute of Sport (BSc Sport and Exercise Psychology, BSc Sport and Exercise Science, BSc Sports Coaching, MSc Sport and Exercise Psychology).

You will be qualified with a good, relevant, undergraduate degree with further professional or academic qualifications at Masters level. You will have Qualified Teacher Status/HE teaching qualification or willingness to undertake the Postgraduate Certificate in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education within an agreed timeframe. You will be able to demonstrate the ability to deliver effective and imaginative teaching which enthuses and develops students. You will have strong administrative and skills and work well in a team.
