About the Role

Employment Support Advisor

Based in Hastings with travel expected across East Sussex

SCDA are proud to have been selected to deliver in East Sussex the Big Lottery funded and ESF funded project, “Lots More to Offer” as part of the Building Better Opportunities programme.  The ‘Lots More To Offer’ project has a specific focus on working with participants over the age of 45 who are furthest away from the labour market, including those who are economically inactive. It’s an exciting project and we are now looking for an experienced individual to join our team

The successful candidate will have experience of delivering client-facing services and of working with unemployed, disadvantaged community members, to help them move into employment, training or education. You must be able to demonstrate an understanding of the issues faced by older workers when attempting to re-enter the labour market, and will be able to work with clients to overcome these barriers and move into a positive outcome. You will also need to produce paperwork to the standard required by ESF and Big Lottery funded projects, demonstrate strong organisational skills and be able to work independently as well as part of a cross-county team.
