As a member of the Care & Support and area senior team to contribute to the formulation and implementation of our service development, fundraising and marketing plans.

To work with the Heads of Services to agree the area development plan taking account of the funding and development needs of existing services and potential new opportunities.

To identify and lead on new service development opportunities in the area and to work with the Heads of Service and Service Managers to develop service proposals and specifications, start-up and implement Head of Service action plans; this could include developing and setting up pilot projects.

To support the Heads of Service on major service tenders, project managing or leading on tender submissions as needed. In association with the Bids and Tenders Manager and C&S BDM colleagues, ensure that all tender opportunities are monitored and considered.

To build effective business relationships with funders, service commissioners and other professionals where appropriate negotiating contractual arrangements.

Work closely with Service managers, the Referrals Co-ordinator and other C&S colleagues to respond to all referrals positively and proactively. Assist with formulating and collating marketing information and ensure that our work is publicised through a wide range of opportunities. Working with the Heads of Service, Finance BP and others to cost and model service as necessary especially in relation to bids and new business opportunities.

To keep a watching brief on developments in commissioning and key health forums such as Health & Wellbeing boards and to liaise with Heads of Service, Service Managers to organise appropriate Action on Hearing Loss engagement/ participation in these forums. Where necessary represent the area and directorate at relevant forums and commissioner events.
