About the Role

TA (WITH MDSA DUTIES) REQUIRED FROM SEPTEMBER 2017

The St Thomas á Becket Church of England Federation is looking for a new member of staff to add to their existing support staff team. You will be working and based within Blackboys CEP School. We are looking for a candidate who is highly motivated, energetic, with the ability to work alone and as part of a team to join our welcoming and friendly school for a total of 18.5 hours a week.  The hours will be made up of 17.5 hours TA time and 1 hour a week MDSA role - Term time only. Hours of work will be Monday – Friday 8.30-Midday. With 1 hour MDSA from Midday -1pm on Monday weekly.

We require an individual who has experience of working with and engaging with children in a calm, innovative and resourceful manner. A good level of English and Maths is required. An interest in computing would be advantageous.

TA1 Role

Starting Grade 2 point 3 £15,116.00 pro rata. 17.5 hours a week. You should have the skills and abilities necessary for: providing pupil targeted and classroom support; preparing resources and liaising effectively with colleagues, parents and outside agencies; flexiblibility and the ability to use your own initiative. The post holder will work closely alongside the class teacher and other support staff as part of our supportive and enthusiastic team.

MDSA

Single Status grade 1 point 2 £15,013.00 pro rata. 1 hour a week. The successful candidate will work during the lunchtime period leading and promoting playground games and social activity. You will need to be creative and able to work on your own initiative. Experience of working and playing with young children is desirable.
