The Countryside Services team conserve and protect the countryside of West Sussex and promote its enjoyment by providing safe means of access for the public to key WSCC owned and/or managed sites.

This role will be responsible for:

•the management of Buchan Country Park, near Crawley, and will include implementing the approved management plan, budget planning and ensuring all statutory and other obligations are met. To achieve this the role will work with the Buchan Country Park Ranger as well as volunteer and community;
•leading on the management of partnerships and contracts such as catering at Buchan Country Park and educational events in West Sussex
•the development and co-ordination of new funding opportunities for countryside management.

The role will involve attending committees and meetings throughout the County.
