Salary £8.19 to £8.55 per hour (plus an enhancement for annual leave)

Specialist Day Services at Maidenbower Day Centre Crawley , require a Casual Support Worker. To ensure the independence, safety and wellbeing of people with physical, sensory or memory impairments. Customers will have been assessed as eligible through Adult Services and attend one or more days per week.

You will be required to promote independence and work in a person centred way. You will be involved in Escort duties on the centre's transport to and from the unit, ensuring safe access to the centre. You will support customers with their personal care needs working in a dignified and respectful manner. Support workers also work with customers to engage in a range of individual and group activities (including Arts and crafts, Reminiscence and gentle exercise etc.).

As a support worker will have the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge and be supported and mentored at the day centre. You will have the opportunity to attend training which is relevant to this role.
