About the Role
Are you a skilled, self-motivated team player, with a background in delivering expert technical support?
We are looking for engineers to join our Asset Management team who enjoy challenge, partnership working and who can deliver the highest performance from themselves and others. This role sits within our Highways department and will involve working collaboratively with our service provider partners Costain and CH2M to deliver a truly excellent highway service for the people of East Sussex.
This role will provide technical support and advice across the Highways service and will require;
- Keeping up to date with industry best practice;
- Providing knowledge of construction and maintenance techniques;
- Developing and building effective working relationships across the team and department;
- Assisting with the development of life cycle plans and works programmes for the highway network; and
- Making sure our assets are fit-for-purpose and providing suitable solutions for the residents and customers of East Sussex.
We are looking for a number of engineers with experience across areas such as carriageway, footway, drainage and other highway assets. If you are a driven, professional and an adaptable individual we would be very interested to hear from you.
Additional Information
Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.
Work Permits: we may be able to obtain a Work Permit for this post but this is subject to meeting the requirements of the UK Border Agency’s Points-based Immigration System.
