Reporting and Analysis Manager

An industry dominating organisation, which is at the forefront of their sector and which candidates will likely be familiar with, is currently looking for a Reporting and Analysis Manager. This individual will deliver operational finance and project reporting and analysis that will be used to help determine functional decisions and ensure compliant business governance.

This individual will be highly analytical and numeric with excellent data handling skills and a proactive, intuitive approach towards their role objectives. They will work in a relatively autonomous role but with several indirect reports that they will delegate to and coordinate. They will present reports and findings to senior management and be comfortable dealing with a broad range of stakeholders.

Key responsibilities:

• To review, rationalise, and optimise financial reporting and analysis that meets the needs of functional and organisational stakeholders.
• To develop operational intelligence and performance analysis capability to support identification and resolution of performance issues.
• To identify efficiency opportunities through analysis of KPI data and support improvements to business performance.
• To identify governance and control opportunities, and develop appropriate processes, procedures and templates to support improvements to the financial management of projects.
• To train others on governance requirements, and follow through with ongoing support.
• To monitor compliance, identify risks and issues, and agree action plans with relevant programme or project manager.
• To contribute to the delivery improvement projects based on robust data analysis.

Candidate requirements:

• Excellent analytical and numeric skills.
• Strong process focus.
• Significant reporting/analytical experience.
• Advanced data handling skills.
• Familiar with standard risk and issue identification and management.
• Sound report creation and data presentation skills.
• Ability to manage a broad range of stakeholders.
• Effective interpersonal skills including excellent communication skills. Logical and structured approach.
• Ideally qualified to degree level or equivalent.
