About the Role

Wivelsfield School is looking for an inspirational and caring part time teaching assistant and a part time Forest School leader. You could apply for the combined role or just the teaching assistant or Forest School leader position: please make it clear on your application form what you are applying for. The school benefits from spacious modern premises with extensive grounds and is situated in the heart of the village, near both Haywards Heath and Burgess Hill. We are a very popular, oversubscribed school and pride ourselves on being friendly and welcoming, with a strong ‘community ethos’. In September there will be approximately 180 pupils on roll.

 Teaching Assistant

The Teaching Assistant position would be 1 day in a Key Stage One Class and ½ day in our Reception Class. Experience of these age groups would be an advantage. For this role you would be asked to do some lunch time supervision. Hours between 8.40am - 3.15pm with a negotiable time for lunch. The salary for this role is single status grade 3.

 Forest School Leader

If you are interested in the Forest School leader role you would need to hold a Level 3 qualification as a Forest School Leader. This position would ideally be 2 afternoons each week or possibly 1 full day. If you are interested in this role but do not hold the qualification we may be able to provide training for the right person, but you would not be able to lead sessions until you had the qualification. The salary for this role is single status grade 4.

If you are interested in either the combined position or just one part of it ; please look for further details in the job description and person specification which can be found in our application pack on our website. Alternatively contact the school office for a pack, preferably by e-mail.

Visits to the school are warmly welcomed and are strongly encouraged. Please contact the school to make an appointment, or for any other queries regarding these positions.
